You may or may not be consciously aware of it, but we are constantly interpreting the body language of the people we interact with: do they like us, are they trying to get something from us, can they be trusted? We aren’t always correct in our assessment, and often we may also give others an inaccurate impression of ourselves. They may interpret your fatigue, or stress due to unrelated factors personally in a negative way.
Questions:
1. What types of body language do you exhibit when you are stressed/threatened/afraid?
2. How good do you think you are at detecting deceptive behavior? What types of behavior do you look for?
3. Give an example of body language that exhibits confidence, leadership.
4. Have you paid attention to/tried to control your body language in certain situations, like job interviews? Have you employed methods such as power posing?
5. What types of behavior do you interpret as being flirtatious?
